Since 1919, Reading Community Singers has supported the advancement of music education in Reading, by providing annual scholarships to graduating seniors of Reading Memorial High School who are pursuing a career in music, or have been active in musical programs/productions.
For the last thirty years this has been accomplished by donating a portion of the proceeds from our Holiday and Spring concerts and other events to the Reading Scholarship Foundation which presents music scholarships to worthy seniors in our name.
For this May 2008, we are excited to be directly involved with selecting our scholarship recipient and making the announcement at our spring concert, "Anything Goes!" 7:30 pm Saturday, May 3rd at The Old South Church. This is a merit based scholarship.
