
Reading Community Singers (RCS), originally known as the "Choral Class," was established by the Reading Women's Club in October 1919.
The "Choral Class: appeared in its first concert on March 2, 1920, with a performance of the Cantata, "A Legend of Granada," under the direction of Katherine Crockett McDavitt. The chorus was assisted by a baritone soloist and an orchestra.
Our Mission:
To study the art of choral music and share the joy of singing with each other and members of the community. To serve the Reading Community Singers, and to support the Reading Scholarship Foundation by providing annual scholarships to graduating seniors of Reading Memorial High School who are pursuing careers in music.
Reading Community Singers is a 501(c)3 non-profit
Contributions are tax deductable as allowable by law.
